This is the 9th Data Day Texas! Woot!

Originally launched in January 2011 as one of the first NoSQL / Big Data conferences, Data Day Texas each year highlights the latest tools, techniques, and projects in the data space, bringing speakers and attendees from around the world to enjoy the hospitality that is uniquely Austin. Since its inception, Data Day Texas has continually been the largest independent data-centric event held within 1000 miles of Texas. Our most recent edition drew over 1000 attendees.

This is what 1000+ attendees looks like. Lukas Biewald, Co-Founder of Figure Eight, speaking at Data Day Texas 2018. Next time, the photographers need to bring a wide angle lens so that we can capture the whole room .

What's up for Data Day Texas 2019

Once again we'll be hosting a global edition of Graph Day. We're also assembling entire tracks on Streaming Data and Distributed Databases. Expect also to see sessions on Data Science, Analytics, Spark, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Neural Networks, Data Engineering and Architecture, Data Visualization, and lots of case studies.

Streaming Data / Pipelines
We're happy to announce that Gwen Shapira, committer on the Apache Kafka and Apache Sqoop projects, as well as co-author of Hadoop Application Architectures and Kafka: The Definitive Guide, will be the keynote speaker for our Streaming Data track. We are still accepting speaking proposals, so if you are doing something cool with streaming or data pipelines, check out our proposals page.

The tiered classrooms at the AT&T Conference Center are among the best in the nation. Forgot your charger? There are outlets at every seat.

We always open the bar at 1pm.

Sometimes you need espresso after lunch. Good thing our espresso bar is open all afternoon and evening.

We don't want you to miss a session, so we'll have a bar on every floor - even in the basement.....
